I commissioned this necklace as a gift to a dear friend of mine. Their cat is the cat on the medallion, and I wanted my friend to have a piece of jewelry honoring their cat. I remembered Surly Ramics once did medallions of people’s pets a long time ago, and asked if she could do that again. I sent a couple of clear close-ups of the cat, and Amy got to work. My friend LOVES their medallion! They say it reminds them so much of their cat! Everything went as specified including the requested color of the medallion. I am super happy with the jewelry I commissioned from Surly Ramics and would definitely ask Amy again if I had another friend who wanted a custom ceramic medallion.
